Islamic Relief Worldwide is currently recruiting for the position of an expat. Finance Coordinator based in Afghanistan; the post holder will manage the national Finance Operations. S/he will be maintaining effective control of all financial matters ensuring reporting and compliance with donors and Islamic Relief financial guidelines.
The job holder will be responsible for maintaining the accounting records and supporting documentation for all financial transactions are systematically in order, safe and secure. The post holder will provide timely project related financial reports for IRW International Office and institutional donors. The post holder will be working and liaising closely with the Head of Programme, Country Director and the finance and programme division at international office in the UK. You will perform regular training needs assessments conducted and make recommendations for appropriate coaching/ training and mentoring.
It is essential that the candidate has a professional qualification from a recognised Accounting Association with substantial experience in finance related role with an international NGO with essential skills and knowledge of finance related compliance requirements of institutional donors such as UN agencies SIDA, DFID, and European Commission. The successful candidate must have a high degree of computer literacy. It is mandatory you have English language skills to be able to effectively fulfil the responsibilities of this role. Knowing the local language is desirable.
